Pentagram Advisory First Anniversary – Celebrating One Year of Collaboration

A Message from Tim and Marina

Pentagram Advisory celebrated its first year of operation in June 2025.

As we reflect on this milestone, we are taking a moment to pause, not just to acknowledge the achievements, but to share what has truly stood out: the power of collaboration.

In looking back on Pentagram’s achievements, we have decided to share some of these with our followers and friends in over 16 countries spanning six continents (Antarctica is the laggard!).

What we had not fully anticipated was the depth and richness of the partnerships that would shape our journey – particularly the connections that Pentagram has established with like-minded entities, almost all of which are Australian SMEs, to build a trusted pool of collaborators who are ready to support our clients and followers.

By “collaborators”, we mean more than service providers. These are people and organisations who share Pentagram’s purpose and passion to serve.  They expand the impact pentagram can make – through joint projects, client engagements, workshops, and knowledge-sharing. Whether it is cyber security, OSINT, geostrategic risk, psychological and social research, or team performance – each collaborator adds something unique to the security ecosystem we are building.

One example: Pentagram contributed to CI-ISAC’s successful grant bid to launch a cyber threat intelligence-sharing network for the Australian health sector. Through that work, we will deliver insider threat education to health entities – work we are proud to support.

What is been equally rewarding is the reciprocity. Just as our collaborators enrich our work, we are called in to support theirs. These partnerships allow us to deliver multidimensional, practical solutions to complex problems, whether in personnel, cyber, physical or supply chain security.

Who we work with

Below is a snapshot of the collaborators we have proudly worked with this past year –  organisations we unreservedly recommend. They bring deep domain expertise and a shared commitment to national resilience, enterprise security, and trusted workforces.

CI-ISAC Australia (Critical Infrastructure – Information Sharing Analysis Centre) is Australia’s leading not-for-profit entity dedicated to strengthening the nation’s cyber resilience through collaborative intelligence sharing and collective defence. CI-ISAC team brings together critical infrastructure operators from all sectors, government agencies, and key partners to share timely, actionable intelligence, proactively mitigate risks, and strengthen collective defences.

As part of CI-ISAC, the Health-ISAC , funded by the Australian Government, aims to establish a dedicated Health Cyber Sharing Network (HCSN). This member-based program is designed to support cyber threat intelligence sharing across Australia’s healthcare sector, co-designed with healthcare providers, to address specific sector needs and build sector-wide cybersecurity resilience.

COGNETIQ is a software solution which enables all-hazards risk management for complex critical infrastructure. The platform integrates incident reporting and controls assurance data to produce automated threat, vulnerability, and risk analysis from asset level to whole-of-enterprise.

COGNETIQ helps security and risk leaders make evidence-based decisions which demonstrably support enterprise risk priorities, organisational objectives, and regulatory attestation.

Fivecast is enabling a safer world through use of open-source intelligence (OSINT), helping organisations around the world discover and explore masses of data to uncover actionable insights that are critical to progressing intelligence missions and protecting global communities.

Fivecast is trusted by leading defence, national security, law enforcement, corporate security and financial intelligence organisations in Australia around the world. Fivecast deploys unique data collection and AI-enabled analytics to solve the most complex intelligence and security challenges.

FrontierSI is a social enterprise focused on bringing the best people together to anticipate and solve large problems using space and spatial expertise.

Through government, research, and industry networks, they help bring innovative ideas through to real-world products and services with a focus on creating both commercial and public good impact. FrontierSI’s network brings space and spatial expertise including positioning and geodesy, data analytics, and spatial data management.

Geostrategic Risk Partners help organisations manage geostrategic risks and find opportunities to succeed in an uncertain world.

The company’s philosophy is that immediate focus on delivering success today can often blind us to what is just over the horizon.  Time is not on our side.  Few organisations have the luxury of the reflective moments and deep study and analysis of their operating environment so necessary to be adaptive and agile over time.   It is why so many companies that have been highly successful in one era fail to exist in the next.

The Lumin Group is an Australian company specialising in analytical and communications consulting across multiple business domains drawing on non-public data assets.  Lumin provides analytical services and training for client staff to undertake data analysis in-house.

MDR Security combines business, technology and security expertise to provide clients with consulting services with a difference. MDR Security brings genuine technical expertise as well as the ability to explain and relate it to the business context. MDR Security has expertise in cybersecurity, digital transformation, data and AI, telecoms, cloud and quantum technology.

ICTLC Australia – ICT Legal Consulting Australia consists of a dynamic pool of highly specialised professionals capable of supporting companies in all their technological and business needs.

National Institute of Strategic Resilience (NISR) is a non-partisan, not-for-profit applied strategy entity providing inclusive, respectful, informed and authoritative contribution to public debate, leading to actionable outcomes. NISR contributes to advanced thinking on topics of strategic resilience and security through diverse social optics, analysing the opportunities and threats for Australia, the Indo-Pacific and the world.

Prosocial Science International (PSI) provides Science-based solutions for human-based problems. PSI specialises in psychological, social, and behavioural science research, consulting, and education/training related to understanding and managing malicious and unintentional Insider Risks.

PSI research is further informed by decades of professional experience by Dr. Eric Lang (PSI’s Chief Human Science Officer), who has led multiple research groups—including the U.S. government’s Personnel and Security Research Center, “PERSEREC”—and directly helped public and private sector organizations in six countries.

Protegas is an Australian sovereign-owned company that offers deep Defence, national security, emergency services, law enforcement intelligence and security expertise, aligned with strong commercial and business operations experience. Protegas is positioned to support Australia’s goal for a sovereign Defence and national security industry with the capability, readiness and resilience to help meet Australia’s needs and is proud of its connections across Defence, Government and the commercial sector.

Trustwave secures your organisation at every stage with expert-led services and advanced solutions from the most awarded pure-play cybersecurity services provider.

Looking Ahead

As we enter our second year, Pentagram is growing – with more clients, more eLearners, and a thriving community of practice. But we remain grounded in the values that brought us here: service, integrity, and purpose.

We are grateful to everyone who has walked with us in year one – especially those who believed in the vision before it had taken shape. Thank you for your trust, your time, and your collaboration.

This is still just the beginning. There is more to build, more to learn, and more to do—together.

With gratitude,

Tim and Marina
