  • This course offers a foundational exploration of the evolving threat landscape facing Australia’s critical infrastructure, emphasising its significance to national security.

  • Designed for security practitioners, security professionals, risk managers, and organisational leaders, and boards the course examines key threats, including cyber-attacks, physical hazards, insider risks, espionage, and natural disasters. Participants will gain practical insights into threat detection, prevention, and response, all through the lens of the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act 2018.

  • By leveraging expert commentary, case studies, and a structured framework, the course equips participants with the tools to enhance resilience and safeguard critical assets.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Understand the threat landscape for critical infrastructure
Gain foundational knowledge of the threat landscape, including definitions, key concepts, and its relevance to critical infrastructure, through the lens of the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018 (SOCI Act).

2. Identify and analyse key threat categories
Explore cyber, physical, personnel (insider), supply chain, and espionage/foreign interference threats, understanding their unique risks and implications for organisational security and resilience.

3. Apply mitigation strategies across threat domains
Develop and implement strategies to mitigate threats across key categories, leveraging examples, case studies, and expert insights to protect critical assets and ensure operational continuity.

4. Enhance enterprise-wide threat preparedness
Equip enterprises with tools and knowledge to build resilience and respond effectively to multi-faceted threats, focusing on both proactive and reactive security measures.

After completing this course, participants will be able to:
